we have So Much to be grateful for!

When your days are filled with the Father's plans, your heart is full also! What a privilege and honor to get a front row seat to watch God working in the lives of others.

First, I want to say thank you to all the people who have supported this ministry. Your encouragement, prayers, provision and time have been imperative to our mission of meeting the needs in the Yuma community through the Love of Jesus. This truly is the calling of the Body of Christ and that has been felt this past month like never before.

The ministry is quite small and since we normally serve a meal on Fridays, A Brighter Day decided to have a Thanksgiving meal the day after Thanksgiving. Grace Bible Fellowship offered us their sanctuary for the dinner, along with linen tablecloths, warmers and anything else we needed. Our Family at Southwestern Palliative Care and Hospice pitched in with table runners and centerpieces. A Brighter Day would purchase the meat and we asked the members of Grace Bible Fellowship, Christ Fellowship Ministries and Valley Baptist Church to help us by donating a side dish to go with the meal. Not only did the members donate delicious sides and desserts, but we also had 15 volunteers who came and helped serve, clean-up, etc. You are all awesome and I am honored to have you in my life. We could not have put on this event without you!

We had 60 people join us for the dinner and sent out over 40 "to-go" containers. All were invited to stick around, relax and enjoy Fellowship and the warmth of the building. Some even found a warm comfortable place for an after-dinner nap! I would say that our first Thanksgiving dinner was a huge success! To God be the Glory! Thanks again for your continued support.
